Biography
Tex is
regarded by many as one of the few "Authentic Old West Balladeers".
He comes from a rich heritage of frontiersmen dating back to Santa
Ana's land grant of 1821. Tex's years of research on the old West
and first person accounts learned from his elders, give his
performance a unique and personal perspective.
Although
Tex is a versatile and accomplished musician, his favorite
instrument is the acoustic guitar. He is a song writer, singer,
story teller, poet, playwright, trick roper, lecturer and children's
author. His credits are numerous spanning a 30-year career in
show business, including International tours with stars such as: Jay
Leno, B. B. King, Sammy Davis, Wayne Newton, Jim Stafford and the
Smothers Brothers.
Tex says
he has fond memories performing on stage at Carnegie Hall, Radio
City Music Hall, London Palladium, CBS, NBC and numerous public
radio shows, but especially loves performing for smaller more
intimate audiences such as school assembly programs and educational
school workshops. Performing for children is very rewarding. Tex
hopes his school programs will help preserve our rich Old West
Heritage. Tex feels a strong obligation to preserve old songs and
poetry of the frontier days. He says he enjoys teaching students
interesting facts about their heritage.
He is a
licensed educator and music teacher.
A professional lecturer, authority of Old West
Lore and Native American Lore.
A story teller with a comedic edge, but inspirational message on
reading skills and traditional values.

show, but is currently offering his latest school assembly called "A
